Born from
Ancient Kings

Africa's first ultra-luxury automobile brand. Rooted in the heritage of the Solomonic dynasty. Built to rival the finest houses in the world.

Discover the Vision

A new standard
for African luxury

Abyssinia Motors was founded on a singular conviction: that Africa's greatest civilisation deserves its greatest car. We draw from three thousand years of Ethiopian heritage — the Lion of Judah, the intricate patterns of traditional Habesha textiles, the ancient Ge'ez script — and recast them in hand-crafted steel.

We do not compete with the world. We redefine it.

The Three Pillars

Where heritage
meets the road

Lion of Judah

The ancient symbol of Ethiopian imperial power embossed on every bonnet. A statement that commands respect without a word spoken.

Habesha Textile

Traditional woven patterns translated into precision-machined bodywork and hand-stitched interiors. Culture worn as luxury.

Ge'ez Script

One of the world's oldest writing systems. Inscribed in illuminated displays and instrument panels as a declaration of origin.

When I was young, my mother brought us back to Ethiopia. I remember sitting in the back of a car, watching the streets of Addis Ababa pass through the window.

My mother pointed to a shop. Above the door, in faded lettering, was a single word: Abyssinia.

She told me that was what Ethiopia used to be called. The ancient name. The name from before.

I did not know it then, but that moment never left me.

Years later I was looking at luxury cars from around the world. Germany had BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi. Italy had Ferrari, Lamborghini and Pagani. Britain had Rolls Royce and Bentley. China even had Hongqi. Every great civilisation seemed to have one.

I kept thinking — Ethiopia is as old as any of them. Ethiopia was never colonised. Why doesn't Ethiopia have one?

I couldn't stop thinking about it. So I decided to build it.

Abyssinia Motors is named for that shop window in Addis Ababa, and for the question that would not leave me alone.

This is Abyssinia Motors.
